Properties: This product is white or almost white powder.
Pharmacological action: Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibacterial for animals, antibacterial action and tylosin similarly, sensitive gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus, pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas suis, and Clostridium emphysema. Sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, Meningococcus, Pasteurella, etc., which are also effective against Mycoplasma. It has stronger activity on Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma of livestock and poultry than tylosin. 95% of the hemolytic Pasteurella strains are sensitive to this product, and it is absorbed quickly after oral administration. It is characterized by strong tissue penetration and large volume of distribution (>2Lkg, high concentration in the lung, half-life up to 1~2 days, effective blood concentration dimension long time.
Medicine interactions:
(1) The combination of this product and epinephrine can increase the death of pigs.
(2) Since it has the same target as other macrolides and lincosamides, it is not suitable to be used at the same time.
(3) Combined use with β-lactams shows antagonism.
Indications: For the treatment of swine infectious pleuropneumonia, swine pneumonitis and swine asthma.
Usage and dosage: based on this product. Mixed feeding: 1000 ~ 2000g for pigs per 1000kg of feed. Use for 15 days.
Adverse reactions:
(1) The toxic effect of this product on animals is mainly the cardiovascular system, which can cause tachycardia and weakened contractility.
(2) Many animals often have dose-dependent gastrointestinal disorders (such as vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) after oral administration
