Properties: This product is white to light yellow powder.
Pharmacological action: pharmacodynamics, neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibacterial drug, and its antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of kanamycin. It has a strong antibacterial effect on most gram-negative bacilli such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Salmonella and Pasteurella multocida, and is also more sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus.
Pharmacokinetics, neomycin is rarely absorbed by oral and topical application. After oral administration, only 3% of the total amount is excreted in urine, and most of it is excreted in feces unchanged. Inflammation or ulceration of the intestinal mucosa can increase absorption. The injection is quickly absorbed, and its process in the body is similar to that of kanamycin.
Adverse reactions: Neomycin is the most toxic in aminoglycosides, but toxic reactions rarely occur during oral administration or topical administration.
Precautions:
