Properties: This product is white or almost white powder.
Pharmacological effects: anti-worm drugs. Albendazole has a broad-spectrum anthelmintic effect, and has a strong repellent effect on nematodes, tapeworms and trematodes. Its mechanism of action is through binding to the tubulin in the worm, thereby affecting the mitosis, protein assembly and energy metabolism in the worm.
Usage and Dosage: Based on this product. Oral administration: One dose, 50~100mg for horses per 1kg body weight, 100~150mg for cattle and sheep, 50~100mg for pigs, 250~500mg for dogs, 100~200mg for poultry.
Adverse reactions:
(1) Dogs are given albendazole at a dose of 50 mg/kg twice a day, and anorexia will gradually develop.
(2) The use of albendazole in the early pregnancy of animals may be accompanied by teratogenic and embryotoxic effects.
Precautions:
(1) Banned from eating horses.
(2) Prohibited during lactation.
(3) Animals are forbidden within 45 days before pregnancy.
Withdrawal period: 14 days for cattle, 4 days for sheep, 7 days for pigs, 4 days for poultry; and 2.5 days for abandoning milk.
